Emerging Technologies

My article was about how much Facebook is becoming even more popular! Since it is more popular they are going change the way you update your status, because that is the biggest thing everyone does. They are going to put more advertisement on it. Also because people use the "like" button a lot there is going to be a link with it to somehow make more money and get more kids attention. More people are using Facebook and Facebook is making changes to what kind of things you have to put on your status. What shocked me the most is 850 million a month are becoming a member of Facebook. I think in a few years people are going to get bored of Facebook and are going to hate the new changes they want to make. So Facebook wont make as much money. I do not think there was any emerging technology in 2009.

Technology is important because it makes your life simpler, and everything you do is involves technology now. In the last five years many new cool electronics have been invented like the iPhone, iPads, and the kindle.  In five years from now I bet you everything will be done on iPads and there will be no text books. For English classes student are using kindles to read books for book projects, instead of an actual library book. Ways I use technology in my personal life is I play games on my iPod, and use an iPad to get on the Internet. I would probably use a podcast to talk to my family that i never get see. Also i would use iGoogle so all my pets don't die, and the rest i don't see myself ever using again. the tool that i found will be the most life learning is blogger. I would say avatars was defiantly the funnest one to create. Delicious was my least favorite to create.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

cyber bully video

this movie was a way to show how the internet could be really dangerous. People get cyber bullied all the time and some to mthe point where they kill themsleves. some similarities in the movie to what happens in other cases are they usally try to kill themsleves, and the person bulling them is usally there best friend. Some differences are that the victim usally would never go up to the bully and tell them that what ther doing is bad. most people just sit ther and say nothing. Yes this movie was similar to some of the cases we have talked about

podcast

This podcast is about music, this guy is a music critic and talks about good music or bad music.I do not like learning this way because I tend to zone out and miss all the information. Also I find it boring just to sit hear and listen to some weird voice speak. This is deffiantly a opion based podcast. i bet it is probally earier just to talk instead of write everything, and thats they made podcasting.

voki vs. blabberize

I personally liked voki better, because I found it to be more creative and easier to find out how to create an avatar. Also I think it looked better when the avatars on voki talked. On blabberize the lips were all messed up. over all they were really fun and enjoyed making them say things.

broken friendship

Broken friendship is about these this girl who was best friends with a girl named Katie, and they told each other their passwords. Katie was convinced that if she shared the other girls password with these popular girls that she would become one of them. Instead they used Katie to get the girls password and they posted her face on some nude girl and sent it too guys at there school saying "ill do anything for you." The two girls are no longer friends.

netiquette

Netiquette is like being user friendly on social networks, like not saying mean things to people. This can affect anyone who reads what someone posted. Then people can get in the fight when they try to stop it. Some examples of good netiquette are posting things you would allow your mom, dad, and any family members to read. Poor examples of netiquette would be things that you say to try to hurt someone, or bulling people, and saying rude comments.

A social network is a website where you can chat with other users. A digital footprint is kinda like your status that you would write. If you leave a status/ digital foot print your users can leave comment on it and start a conversation from it.

Copyrighting music is illegal, it affects people’s life in many ways. Some people don’t even know that down loading music and then selling it is illegal. They think sense there giving it out for money that it’s fine. This has never affected me, I just get all my music from iTunes. Copyright can be legal if you write it in your own words. Or you can cite the page by saying where you got that information from.

research project wrap up

I don't think I did good with the presentation part. I don't like presenting in front of people, and i messed up a lot.but it was fun making a PowerPoint, except i didn't like having to do a brochure about one of the attraction because I found it to be mostly the same infomation I put on the powerpoint.I did learn some cool things about Costa Rica. One thing I couldn't find is the history. It kept coming up as like traveling history, or just facts about Costa Rica. I don't think I have a strong point in my presentation. some suggestions you could do is there favorite place they been to.
